Academy of Management Scholar Dean Shepherd is a professor at Notre Dame University’s Mendoza College of Business. He researches and teaches entrepreneurship.
Shepherd is a fellow of the Academy of Management and has published research papers in most of its journals. From the Entrepreneurs Division of the Academy of Management, he has been awarded the “Dedication to Entrepreneurship award,” the “Mentor Award,” and the “Foundational Paper Award” (twice). He has authored more than 20 books and published 180-plus research papers in top management and entrepreneurship journals with more than 85,000 Google citations. He earned his Ph.D. from Bond University in Australia and has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Jonkoping University and Lulea University of Technology, both in Sweden, as well as Technical University of Munich in Germany.
