Kris Byron
Academy of Management Scholar Kris Byron is a professor at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. She has published in leading management and psychology journals, including the Academy of Management Journal and Academy of Management Review. Her specializations include organizational behavior, perception and misperception in the workplace, creativity, and diversity at work.
She was an associate editor and is the current editor in chief of the Academy of Management Review. Her research has been featured in BusinessWeek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many other newspapers and magazines in the United States and abroad.
Byron earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Emory University. She has a master’s degree in non-profit management from Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and a Ph.D. in management and organizational behavior from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business.
At Haslam, Pollock teaches an undergraduate elective on managing startups and doctoral seminars on organization theory and academic writing. He has previously taught courses on strategy at the undergraduate, MBA, executive MBA, and doctoral levels, and on power and influence in full-time and executive MBA programs.
