Academy of Management Scholar Abbie Shipp of Texas Christian University’sNeeley School of Business. Shestudies how people think about and use time at work. Her research studies include how individuals think about the past, present, and future, how the trajectory of work experiences over time (person-environment fit, satisfaction, and burnout) affects attitudes and behaviors, how individuals react to change, and how time is spent on work tasks.
Shipp has published widely in premier academic journals, including Academy of Management Review and Academy of Management Annals, and is currently an Associate Editor at Academy of Management Review.
Methot is the Director of the Rutgers Industrial Relations and Human Resources(IRHR) Ph.D. Program and a board member for the Rutgers Center for Women and Work (CWW). She is co-founder of the website WorkTies.org, a cultivated repository for academic research and news on work relationships. She frequently presents to and consults for corporations, professional organizations, and non-profits.
